Our client in the banking sector is currently seeking to recruit a Deputy Head of HR Operations who will be responsible for the monitoring and implementation of strategic plans under the Head of Human Resources. The Deputy Head of HR Operations will help in creating an ideal atmosphere by showing enthusiasm to contribute to strategy and objectives and is willing to improve own performance and performance of other colleagues and will contribute by sharing knowledge and up-skills colleagues.

Responsibilities:

ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support the Head of Human Resources through the development and implementation of best practices in HRM.
Ensure that the HR Team fulfils its role within the organisation on a day-to-day basis.
Be accountable to the Head of Human Resources in all matters relating to the HR function and team.
Responsible for managing HR team at an operational level.
Provide professional support and advice to all HODs, line manages in relation to HR matters.

IMPACT ON THE BUSINESS/FUNCTION:
Actively simplifies processes and resolves and/or escalates issues effectively and efficiently.
Staff Recruitment and Selection: review and implement best practices in conjunction with the Head of Human Resources to meet the immediate and future staffing requirements of the organisation.
Develop good Employee Relations/Industrial Relations practices to support the HR function and the Managers through continuous pen communication processes.
Support Talent Management team and identify the requirements needed to ensure the organisation can deliver a high-quality service to staff and clients.
Review in conjunction with the Head of Human Resources the Standard Operating Procedures and policies for the efficient and effective administration of the Human Resources Department.
Monitor and manage good Communication protocols for dealing with Managers and Staff to ensure that information delivered is relevant, appropriate and timely, and ensure they are in line with the Bank's policies and procedures.
Manage HCM to meet the needs of the Organisation.
Attend, as required, working groups and committees of the organisation as required.
Represent the Bank at meetings if required with external agencies/bodies/groups that are necessary for the proper discharge of the post.

Oversee the preparation & presentation of Board packs, reports & general HR management information.
Oversee the ongoing development of Performance Management.
- Monitoring & training/implementation
- PIP's
- Disciplinary/performance issues
Manage the policy & procedure review process.
Manage the review of R &R incentives.
Assist the Head of Department in ensuring all HR practices are in accordance with the Company Policies, Labour Laws & others government regulations.
Liaise with relevant authorities (BOM, FSC, Ministry of Labour) on company's HR matters when required.
Provide support to CSR activities & initiatives.

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP OF REGULATORY AND OPERATIONAL RISK:
The Deputy Head of HR Operations will have the prime responsibility of managing operational risks, including the identification of risks and understanding risks on a day to day basis and will be responsible to respond to crisis incidents.

what you need to know

Profile:

Degree Holder/MBA.
At least 5 years' experience in human resources.
Creative and focused on problem solving by proper analysis of causes giving rise to identified conditions.
Keep abreast with the professional and technical developments relevant to the business.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and French.
Experience with people’s management.
Able to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
Excellent eye for detail.
