Our client is seeking to recruit for the post of Head of Human Resources for the Corporate Services of the organisation, and he/she will lead the HR department for the following clusters: Automotive, Logistics, Real Estate and Insurance . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in this Strategic Role, a deep understanding of HR practices and principles, and a proven track record of driving organizational success through strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
Lead and mentor the HR team to achieve high performance and foster a positive work environment.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure the acquisition of top talent.
Implement effective talent management strategies to retain and develop employees.
Employee Relations:
Promote a culture of open communication and positive employee relations.
Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Performance Management:
Design and implement performance management systems to drive employee performance and development.
Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
Compliance and Policies:
Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
Develop competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure salary structures are competitive.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Diversity and Inclusion:
Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a respectful and inclusive workplace.
Implement strategies to increase diversity at all levels of the organization.
HR Analytics:
Utilize HR analytics and metrics to make data-driven decisions.
Monitor key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs.
what you need to know
Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the industry.
In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations in Mauritius.
Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
Strong and inspiring leadership and team management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
