Our client in the sales sector is seeking to recruit for the post of Accounts Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role includes processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Generate financial statements and management reports as required.
Manage the filing system for all financial documents.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Support the Finance team with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes
Work closely with the Finance team to support the company's financial objectives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting function.
what you need to know
Profile:
ACCA Level 1 or any relevant qualifications.
At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
