Our client is seeking to recruit for the role of finance policies and procedures accountant to assist the finance department in streamlining financial procedures and requirements which arise from International Financial Reporting Standards requirements.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the accounting technical and projects assistant manager and head of financial policies and procedures to document current procedures and contribute to the design and implementation of new procedures.
Perform training, user acceptance testing, and supporting subsidiaries with legacy and new systems where required.
Reporting readiness and procedures:
Track subsidiary alignment with established reporting procedures.
Support ad-hoc projects for the development, communication, and implementation of group accounting and reporting procedures and systems.
Involve in the development and roll-out of reporting tools, including data validation and user acceptance testing.
Support local finance teams with the use of new and legacy systems.
Reporting quality:
Track performance of review and quality control procedures in respect of reporting and system output.
Support local finance teams in delivering better quality information using existing systems.
Work with group accounting technical and projects manager to understand limitations and help deliver solutions.
what you need to know
Profile:
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
At least 1 to 3 years job experience in a finance team or in audit is preferred, but not strictly necessary.
The job will have a lot of learning opportunity.
Clear communication skills, including any previous training experience.
Project management experience and ability to work with multiple stakeholders for input.
Implementation of finance tools is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
Able to work in complex environments and break those down into steps and procedures.
