Our client, a law firm is seeking to recruit a Paralegal who will assist attorneys in the delivery of legal services. The incumbent will perform a variety of tasks to support lawyers, including conducting legal research and drafting documents.
Responsibilities:
Conduct advanced legal research and analysis on corporate, commercial and insolvency matters.
Fact-checking to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
Draft documents such as notices, letters and non-complex contracts related to legal and insolvency matters.
Attend to regulatory fillings of notices, reports and documents in transactions and insolvency matters.
Keep track of changes in the legal framework and provide timely updates.
what you need to know
Profiles:
A postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
Proven experience in corporate/commercial matters and good knowledge under the Mauritius Law Practitioners Act.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong research and writing skills.
Attention to details and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
